Job Title: Associate Director of Marketing and Recruitment for Semester in Spain
Department: Semester in Spain
Reports To: Director of Off-Campus Programs (DOCP)
FLSA Status: Exempt
Classification: Regular Full-Time; 12 month assignment
SUMMARY
The Associate Director of Marketing and Recruitment has responsibility to represent Semester in Spain to the faculty, administrators, and students of U.S. partner institutions. This person works with the Director of Off-Campus Programs and the Associate Director of Program Administration (USA) to make a seamless operation with the program in Seville.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific duties include:
1. Oversee the recruitment of students from the inquiry stage through enrollment
- Develop marketing plans and processes
- Design and production of printed materials
- Plan the placement of advertisements
- Design and edit content of the SIS Web site
- Administer the Student Ambassador Program
2. Visit consortial and prospective campuses regularly
- Make 6 or more recruiting trips per semester visiting colleges and universities throughout the U.S.
- Meet with faculty, study-abroad personnel, and prospective students on the various campuses
- Make class presentations by arrangement with hosting faculty members
- Develop new partnership institutions
3. Travel to Spain at least once per year to accompany students, review the program first-hand, and consult with the Spanish Director and staff members in Seville
4. Assist the Director of Off-Campus Programs in
- Communicating with and coordinating with the Spanish Director as needed
- Assist in evaluating the program for compliance with program goals, college policies, and accrediting and governmental agencies
5. Synchronize all recruitment, marketing, travel plans, and enrollment efforts with the Associate Director of Program Administration (USA), to create a seamless communication flow and synergy within program operations
6. Report to the Director of Off-Campus Programs

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required; and one to two years related experience and/or training preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, students, parents, and the general public. Ability to read and speak Spanish preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information and instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
